The factors that go into pricing include but are not limited to:
Time needed for planning and consultations, music preparation, setup/teardown
Equipment needed (speakers, microphones, table setup, mixer, etc.)
Potential travel costs (hotel, gas, plane ticket, etc.), if the commute is greater than 1 hour from Durham, NC
There is a 10% non-refundable deposit is due within one week of booking/signing the contract. Full payment is due at least 30 days before your event. If there is an event cancellation, there will be a pro-rated refund available up until 2 weeks before your event date. After that, no refund will be available.
Yes, a contract is provided as an official confirmation of DJ services and to ensure all needs are being met for your event. You will be able to review before signing, and modifications can be made if there's something particular you want or need.
Yes, it's your event! You are encouraged to share your song requests and preferred music genres during our consultation meeting, where we will also discuss any must-play songs and don't-play songs. It is also up to you whether or not you would like to accept crowd/guest song requests during your event. Please be aware that I only play clean music.
I usually arrive 2 hours before the event start time. Setup generally does not take the whole 2 hours, so there will be plenty of time left to double and triple check that everything is tested and working correctly. Setup time is always included in pricing.
DJ Byrd is available for events outside of NC! If the commute to the event is greater than 1 hour from Durham, NC, travel costs (hotel, gas, plane ticket, etc.) will be added into pricing.
